Audiobook Editing That Passes ACX On The First Try
I have edited, mastered and delivered 60+ full-length audiobooks for Spirit Media USA and independent authors — every one accepted by Audible without a rejection. You record the words. I handle everything between your raw file and a live retail listing.
- 60+ titles published on Audible
- ACX-compliant RMS, peak & noise floor
- Rejection-fix cover included
If any of this is true right now, this page is for you
ACX keeps rejecting your files
Room tone too loud, RMS outside -23 to -18 dB, peaks over -3 dB. The rejection email never tells you how to actually fix it, so you upload again and wait another two weeks.
Your recording has life in it
A fan hum, a dog, a page turn, a chair creak, a car outside. You can hear it on headphones and you know listeners will too — but cleaning eleven hours of audio by hand is not a weekend job.
Your narration is inconsistent
Chapter 1 was recorded in March, Chapter 9 in July. Different mic distance, different energy, different volume. It makes a professional book sound like a home project.
Audiobook Editing, delivered properly
Not a vague scope and a surprise invoice. This is exactly what is produced and handed over.
Full Noise Reduction
Hum, hiss, air conditioning, traffic rumble and electrical buzz removed with spectral repair — not a blanket noise gate that makes your voice sound underwater.
Line & Breath Editing
Flubs, retakes, false starts, long pauses, lip smacks and distracting breaths cut out. The read flows the way your listener expects it to.
ACX Mastering
Every file delivered between -23 and -18 dB RMS, peaks under -3 dB, noise floor below -60 dB RTF. Measured and verified file by file, not guessed.
Correct File Prep
192 kbps CBR MP3, 44.1 kHz mono, named per chapter, with room tone head and tail, opening credits and closing credits built in.
Proofing Pass
I listen to the finished book against your manuscript and flag misreads, dropped words and wrong names before Audible's reviewers find them.
Rejection Cover
If ACX bounces a file I edited, I fix and resubmit it free. In 60+ titles I have not had to — but you are covered.

- Opening & closing credits assembly
- Retail audio sample cut for your listing

What makes this different
A 9-year ACX track record
Spirit Media USA kept sending me books for nine years. That only happens when files get accepted and listeners do not complain.
I measure, I do not guess
Every chapter is checked against ACX's actual numbers before it leaves my desk. That is why nothing has bounced.
Built for long books
A fourteen-hour memoir does not scare me. I have a pipeline for volume work and I quote it honestly.
You talk to the editor
No account manager, no ticket queue. You message me and I answer — usually within a few hours, across US and India time zones.
Pick the scope that fits
Every project is quoted after a short conversation, so you pay for the scope you need and nothing you do not.

What you should actually end up with
Files accepted by ACX first time
Listeners finish the book instead of refunding it
Weeks of DIY editing handed off
A consistent sound across your whole catalogue
Answered honestly
Raw uncompressed WAV files (24-bit/44.1 kHz is ideal, 16-bit is fine), your manuscript for proofing, and your preferred chapter naming. If you only have MP3s I can still work with them, but I will tell you upfront what quality ceiling that puts on the result.
A typical 8-10 finished-hour book is ready in 7-12 working days. Rush delivery is possible — tell me your deadline before you book and I will confirm honestly whether I can hit it rather than promise and slip.
Usually yes, to a point. Hum, hiss and steady background noise come out cleanly. Heavy room echo and reverb are physics, not noise, and cannot be fully removed — I will tell you that after the free five-minute test rather than after you have paid.
My core service is post-production. If you need narration I can connect you with narrators I have worked with, or produce an AI-narrated version where your rights and platform allow it.
Send me the rejection notice. I diagnose the exact measurement that failed, fix it, and resubmit at no cost. That cover applies to any file I mastered.
