Audiobook Editing
I have edited, mastered and delivered more than sixty full-length audiobooks for Spirit Media in the United States and for independent authors publishing on their own. Every one of them was accepted by Audible without a single rejection, and that number is the only credential in this field that actually means anything.
The work sits between your raw recording and a live retail listing. I strip out hum, hiss, air conditioning and traffic rumble using spectral repair rather than a blanket noise gate that would leave your voice sounding underwater. I cut the flubs, retakes, false starts, long pauses and distracting breaths so the read flows the way a listener expects. Then every chapter is measured and mastered to ACX specification — between minus twenty-three and minus eighteen decibels RMS, peaks under minus three, noise floor below minus sixty — and verified file by file rather than guessed at.
You get chapter-by-chapter files, opening and closing credits assembled, a retail sample cut for your listing, and a proofing pass where I listen against your manuscript and flag misreads before Audible's reviewers find them. Send me five minutes of raw audio before you pay anything and I will return a mastered sample plus an honest assessment of your recording space.
