A Manuscript Is Not A Book Until It Is Set
Readers never consciously notice good typesetting — they just keep reading. Bad typesetting they notice immediately, and it makes a serious book feel self-published in the worst sense. I set interiors properly, for print and for Kindle.
- Print PDF and EPUB from one source
- KDP and IngramSpark ready
- Front and back matter built
If any of this is true right now, this page is for you
KDP keeps rejecting your file
Margins too narrow, gutter wrong for the page count, bleed missing, fonts not embedded. The error message never says which.
Your Word file looks like a Word file
Default margins, widows and orphans everywhere, chapter headings that start halfway down a page. It reads as amateur before the first sentence.
The eBook broke on every device
A fixed layout exported to EPUB. Text overflowing, images misplaced, chapters that will not navigate. Reviews mention it.
Book Interior Design, delivered properly
Not a vague scope and a surprise invoice. This is exactly what is produced and handed over.
Typography System
Body typeface, size, leading and measure chosen for sustained reading in your genre, with a matching heading and folio hierarchy.
Print Interior
Correct trim size, mirrored margins, gutter sized to your page count, running heads, folios and chapter openers that always fall on the right page.
Reflowable eBook
A proper EPUB that reflows at any font size, with a working navigable table of contents and clean chapter breaks on every reader.
Front & Back Matter
Title page, copyright page, dedication, contents, acknowledgements, author bio and also-by pages set and in the right order.
Image & Table Placement
Figures, tables, pull quotes and scripture blocks placed and styled so they never break a page badly or orphan a caption.
Platform-Ready Export
Print PDF with embedded fonts and correct bleed for KDP or IngramSpark, plus validated EPUB and MOBI. Rejection-fix included.
No hidden extras
Everything listed here is part of the base engagement — not an upsell discovered halfway through the project.
- Full typographic design
- Print-ready PDF for KDP/IngramSpark
- Validated reflowable EPUB
- Complete front & back matter
- Widow and orphan control
- Navigable table of contents
- Two revision rounds
- Upload rejection fixes
Four steps, no mystery
You always know what stage we are at, what is next, and what I need from you.
Manuscript review
I check the structure, heading levels and anything that will complicate layout, and tell you what to tidy before setting starts.
Sample pages
You approve a designed sample — chapter opener, body spread and a special element — before the whole book is set.
Full typeset
The complete interior set to the approved design, with every page checked for bad breaks and spacing.
Export & upload
Final files exported to each platform's spec. If anything is rejected on upload, I fix and re-export at no cost.
A closer look at the service
A visual example of the service. Actual project samples are available during your consultation.
What makes this different
Print and digital from one source
Both formats produced together and kept consistent, rather than one converted badly from the other.
Approval before the long work
The sample pages stage means you never see a fully set book in a design you dislike.
Rejection fixes are included
If KDP bounces the file, that is my problem to solve, not a new invoice.
Multi-script capable
English, Hindi and Odia interiors, including the font-pairing and line-spacing differences those scripts require.
Pick the scope that fits
Every project is quoted after a short conversation, so you pay for the scope you need and nothing you do not.

Reviews about the writing, not the formatting
Answered honestly
A Word document with consistent heading styles is ideal. Google Docs works too. If your formatting is inconsistent I will clean it up — just tell me so I can quote accurately.
Yes, and it is the sensible way. They are produced from the same source so they stay consistent, and ordering them together costs less than separately.
Cover design is a separate service and many authors take both. See Cover Design — the Complete Package tier here bundles them.
Five to ten working days for a standard non-fiction or fiction title once the sample pages are approved. Image-heavy or multi-script books take longer.
Send me the rejection message and I diagnose, fix and re-export at no cost. That is part of the service, not an extra.
